Scope of Work:
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) disease a global pandemic. On March 13, 2020, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency as a result of COVID-19, and on March 14, 2020, Governor Brian Kemp issued Executive Order 3.14.20.01, which declared a public health emergency as a result of COVID-19. The Board of Commissioners also declared a public health emergency on March 18, 2020. On February 24, 2021, President Joseph Biden continued the national emergency and declared that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the Nation. Thereafter, on July 19, 2021, Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Health and Human Services, renewed the public health emergency declared in the Public Health Service Act, 42 U.S.C. 247d.
