Summary & Background
This request is for a Memorandum of Agreement between the {Republic of China (Taiwan), through its Consular Officer, Taipei Economic &Cultural Office of Atlanta.} With this request there will be a donation of books as well as programming provided at Fulton County library locations.

This program’s intent is to introduce Taiwan’s culture, cuisine, and innovation to the Atlanta community through interactive public programming. The event will have four main components which include a book donation, Mandarin learning, Taiwanese food, demonstration and cultural activity. It will achieve the following objectives.
• Promote awareness of Taiwan’s culture, language, and technical achievements
• Strengthen community engagement between Taiwan and the Atlanta Metropolitan community
• Provide educational and family-friendly programs at the Central Library
• Support cultural diversity initiatives including AAPI Heritage Month programming.
Community Impact: The Atlanta community has an opportunity to expand its cultural diversity.
