Request approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Quality Living Services (QLS) and Fulton County Department of Senior Services in the amount of $50,000.00, to provide twelve (12) weekly fitness classes and serve 280 or more residents of Fulton County age 60 and above. Effective from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022, and will automatically renew on January 1st of each successive calendar year for up to five (5) consecutive years, subject to appropriation of funding or unless terminated by either party. The Department of Senior Services recommends approval of the Memorandum of Understanding between QLS and DSS. Quality Living Services has been a partner and continues to partner with the Department of Senior Services and Fulton County by delivering supportive services, classes and meals to Fulton County Seniors aged 60 and above.
The Department of Senior Services exists to support independence, health and delay cognitive decline through programs for seniors, caregivers and the community. This is accomplished by providing programs in group and individual settings through preventive, intervention and supportive services.
Scope of Work: The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) provides funds for Quality Living Services to employ a qualified instructor to provide twelve (12) weekly fitness classes in the following subject areas: Stretch and Tone, Prime Fitness and Meditation, Water Exercise, Golf, Bowling, Circuit Training, Men’s Healthy Living and Healthy Cooking. The scope also includes the necessary administrative support to coordinate the fitness classes and provision of supplies for fitness classes.
Community Impact: QLS provides quality programs and activities to senior residents of Fulton County. The MOU enumerates fitness services available to 280 eligible seniors and supports access to this community-based organization.
Department Recommendation: The Department recommends approval.

Community Issues/Concerns: If the MOU is not approved, the community will not be able access Fitness classes, trainings and healthy cooking demonstrations at Quality Living Services.
