Scope of Work: The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency recommends Board of Commissioners’ approval of this agenda item. Approval of this item will not require the expenditure of any additional County funds. The Memorandum of Understanding covers two initiatives with funds totaling $23,379.46. These programs/organizations will not receive any direct funds as the Metro Atlanta UASI will be providing the requested equipment, supplies, and resources.
Community Impact: The Atlanta Region Commission’s Metro Atlanta Urban Area Security Initiative MOU covers two initiatives designed to prevent, protect, respond, and recover from threats of or acts of terrorism. The first initiative is for technology enhancements in the Fulton County Emergency Operations Center. This technology will improve capabilities in preparation for FIFA by providing a centralized interactive hub. The second initiative provides training materials for community outreach.
