This Agenda Item is presented solely to comply with O.C.G.A. Section 36-10-1 which requires that “All contracts entered into by the county governing authority with other persons on behalf of the county shall be in writing and entered on its minutes. The Agreement was effective upon Board of Commissioners’ approval on April 19, 2023 (Via Resolution 23-0287). All of the material terms were presented to the Board of Commissioner on April 19, 2013 resulting in the approval of Resolution 23-0287. However, because the Agreement was not attached to the approval Resolution at the April 19, 2023, this Agenda Item is to comply with O.C.G.A. Section 36-10-1.With this Agreement, the County will provide to Morehouse Health Clinic (MHC) $1,593,606.00 as a one-time payment to be used by MHC for capital improvements to the site in which services will be provided to the community (i.e., Buggy Works). The County will also provide annual support for operational purposes relating to the services to be provided in the amount of $1,555,891.00 for FY 2023. With subsequent automatic renewals, the County will provide annual operational support in the amount of $1,947,260.00 for FY 2024; $1,804,393.00 for FY 2025; $1,683,825.00 for FY 2026; and $1,426,667.00 for FY 2027.
