Summary & Background This contract provides vending services with consistent operating standards for County employees and the general public. The vending contractor will offer a variety of food and beverage options, which include, but are not limited to, FDA Nutrition Wellness and FIT Pick designations.

 

Scope of Work: This contract furnishes all labor, materials, supplies, services, and equipment to operate vending machines located in Fulton County facilities, including the Government Center Complex, Justice Center Tower, Juvenile Justice Center, Libraries, Fulton County Executive Airport, and other County-owned or leased facilities.

 

Types of products may include, but are not limited to: hot beverages; soups; carbonated soft drink; calories count beverage vending program; fruit/juice drinks; bottled water; sandwich products; snacks nuts to include but not limited to candy, chips, crackers, pastry, health/low calorie, gum/mints, popcorn, and ice cream/frozen desserts, toothpaste, health & beauty products, and reverse vending.  No tobacco or alcoholic products may be offered or sold at any time, and there must be equal access to all national brands of products at all locations for County employees and customers/visitors. 

 

Community Impact: This contract accommodates the vending needs of daily juror pools, Fulton County Agencies, and the public, by providing quality snack foods and  beverages. 

 

Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval.

 

After reviewing four (4) qualified firm’s proposals, and evaluating and considering all available information related to the requirements and evaluation criteria of the RFP (25RFP1469666C-MH), the Evaluation Committee has determined that the proposal submitted by Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. (84.59%) is the recommended vending contractor to provide Vending Machine Services Countywide for Fulton County for a five-year term through December 31, 2030 (see Exhibit 1).

 

The recommended proposer has a current contract with Fulton County and has performed excellently (rating of 94%) for the Department of Real Estate and Asset Management as stated in their performance report (see Exhibit 2).

 

Project Implications: This vending services contract provides the highest quality healthy snack foods and beverage products with consistent operating standards. 

 

Community Issues/Concerns: None that the Department is aware.

 

Department Issues/Concerns: If this contract is not approved, the County will not be able to accommodate the vending needs of clients, jurors, and patrons with quality food and beverage at County-own facilities.
