Summary & Background Extend existing contract to provide continued auto damage appraisal services on County owned vehicles for twelve (12) additional months until new contract is established for FY2022.
Scope of Work: The vendor above was selected via an RFP process and approved by the BOC on 10/3/2018. Currently the vendor provides auto damage appraisal services on a per vehicle basis. These are performed both on County and/or privately owned vehicles where damages are the result of a County involved accident/collision. This information is necessary to validate required repairs as well as determine the appropriate dollar amount of the claimant’s vehicle in the event of a total loss. An extension of time is requested as the 2021 RFP for these services yielded no responses.

Department Recommendation: Finance recommends approval to extend existing contract for twelve (12) additional months.
The extension for twelve (12) additional month time period effective January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022, is being requested to ensure continued auto physical damage appraisal services until new RFP solicitation, evaluation/recommendation, BOC award approval and contract execution process is established for FY2022.
Project Implications: This contract ensures validation of vehicles losses due to accidents/collisions on both County and private vehicles when necessary.
