Summary & Background

Scope of Work: Senior Alternative Transportation Services provides three primary services to enhance existing transportation options for low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities: 1) training on the use of Transportation Network Companies (TNC) services, 2) service registration and ride booking assistance, and 3) supplementation of the cost of TNC rider fares and service registration fees. The Fulton County Department of Senior Services was awarded a grant from the Federal Transit Administration - Human Services Coordination Research Program to enhance and supplement the Senior Alternative Transportation Services program operating expenses.  This MOU guides and directs the affiliation and working relationship between the Department of Senior Services and Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. and achieves the goal to provide access to quality mobility services offered through Senior Services’ Alternative Senior Transportation Services for eligible seniors at SCF.
