Request approval to renew existing contracts - Department of Senior Services 22RFP035A-CJC, Aging Services in the total not to exceed amount of $4,363,792.43 with (A) Senior Services North, Inc. (Alpharetta, GA) in an amount not to exceed $1,779,844.50; (B) South Fulton Senior Services (College Park, GA) in an amount of $1,469,171.63; and (C) Visiting Nurses Health Systems (Atlanta, GA) in the amount of $1,114,776.30 to provide Aging Services for Fulton County seniors aged 60 and above. This action exercises the second of four renewal options. Two renewal options remain. Effective date January 1, 2025 thru December 31, 2025. (APPROVED)

Requirement for Board Action
In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-394(6), the Purchasing Department shall present all renewal requests to the Board of Commissioners at least 90 days prior to the contract renewal date or 60 days if the contract term is six (6) month or less.

Summary & Background: The Department of Senior Services recommends approval for Senior Services North Fulton, South Fulton Senior Services and Visiting Nurses Health Systems contract renewals. These contracts provide aging services to eligible Fulton County seniors aged 60 and above. The program allows seniors to visit Fulton County Senior Centers and Neighborhood Centers to receive services, participate in programs and partake of meals on a daily basis in a clean and safe environment.
Scope of Work: The contractors Senior Services North Fulton, South Fulton Senior Services and Visiting Nurses Health Systems will be responsible for fulfilling the deliverables under the terms of the contract as indicated in the Scope of Work. The sub-contractors employ staff to ensure that the coordination of Case Management, Congregate Meals, Neighborhood Senior Center Management and Volunteer Services are provided to residents of Fulton County aged 60 and above.
Community Impact: Approval will enable eligible Fulton County seniors to continue receiving services.
Department Recommendation: The Department recommends approval.
Project Implications: This service will provide Aging Services to eligible Fulton County seniors aged 60 and above. The service prevents seniors from being isolated and sedentary.
Community Issues/Concerns: If the contract is not approved, there are community concerns regarding access to vital resources and services.
