Summary & Background

Scope of Work: The Fulton County Department of Public Work’s planned equipment upgrades at the Camp Creek Water Reclamation Facility will require the installation of new electrical service lines from Georgia Power Company.

The Fulton County Department of Public Works, the Department of Real Estate and Asset Management (DREAM), and Georgia Power Company have reviewed the purposed construction drawings for the Camp Creek Water Reclamation Facility and confirmed that a utility easement to connect electrical services from the nearest source is required.

Pending approval, the utility easement dedication by Fulton County will be recorded in public records and will grant Georgia Power Company access as necessary to complete installation, maintenance, and upgrades to the onsite electrical service lines.

Community Impact: Planned improvements once installed will reduce power consumption for treating wastewater and reduce operational costs at this water reclamation facility.

Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management and the Department of Public Works recommends approval of an Easement Agreement and related documents between Fulton County and Georgia Power Company for the purpose of installing new service lines at the Camp Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Project Implications: Project is consistent with Department initiative to update and replace its infrastructure, for the purpose of maintaining optimum efficiency and safety
