Request approval of recommended proposal - Superior Court, 20RFP091520A-CJC, Medication- Assisted Treatment (MAT) Services in the amount, not to exceed, $80,000 with Grady Healthcare System. This request is primarily funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance through the Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. Services will be provided to clients of Fulton County Accountability Court Programs, who require evidence-based, medication assisted treatment, upon execution of this contract through September 30, 2021, with two (2) one year renewal options contingent on funding and the approval of the Board of Commissioners.

Scope of Work: Having secured a Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) grant for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Superior Court Administration in cooperation with the Purchasing Department issued a Request for Proposal to provide medication-assisted treatment services for opioid addicted clients of Fulton County Accountability Court Programs. Superior Court Administration recommends approval of a contract with Grady Healthcare System as the selected vendor. This contract will expand and enhance the Program’s capacity to treat clients with opioid addiction. Opioid addicted individuals require one of three medications commonly used to treat severe addiction: Methadone, Naltrexone, and Buprenorphine. These treatments can only be dispensed through accredited programs and/or credentialed medical professionals.
Community Impact: Improves public safety in the community by ensuring clients with opioid addiction can continue to be treated and successfully complete Accountably Court/ Drug Court programs.
Department Recommendation: Superior Court Administration recommends approval of this request.
