Summary & Background: Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, Inc. was approved as a part of the Department of Arts and Culture’s 2023 Contracts for Services (CFS) recommendations on June 21, 2023 (Agenda Item # 23-0420) as a named recipient of the funding. However, it was discovered that Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, Inc. changed its legal name to Neranenah, Inc., effective August 27, 2020, but the correct legal name was not included in the CFS application.
Scope of Work: According to the Georgia Secretary of State, Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, Inc. amended its application to transact business in this state by filing an amendment changing its name to Neranenah, Inc., effective August 27, 2020. In order to be in compliance with Fulton County Government policies and contract agreement terms and conditions, the name change should be approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. There are no changes in the terms and conditions of the CFS contract, and services will continue to be provided at the same level required for the project.
Community Impact: The CFS program seeks to improve the cultural health of individuals, organizations, and communities throughout Fulton County, with special emphasis on youth, seniors, people with disabilities and underserved communities. The CFS program also contributes to the economic vitality of the community, including attracting new businesses and residents to the County.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Arts and Culture recommends approval of this name change request to properly reflect the correct legal name of the recipient in the CFS contract.
