Scope of Work: The Chief Human Resources Officer has identified a need to clarify whether employees approved to participate in the Childcare Pilot Program authorized by Resolution #25-0314 who incurred childcare expenses but used a payment instrument - such as a credit card, bank account or electronic payment method - belonging to another member of their household to pay for those expenses may be reimbursed for such payments through the Childcare Pilot Program.
If this resolution is approved, the Board of Commissioners would amend Resolution #25-0314 to clarify that eligible employees participating in the Childcare Pilot Program may be reimbursed for childcare payments made either directly by the employee or by another individual residing in the same household, provided the employee submits satisfactory proof of the expense and it is verified by the Chief Human Resources Officer or his designee. This amendment ensures the program functions as intended to provide the maximum reimbursement to eligible employees while reducing ambiguity.
