Scope of Work: To provide consulting and technical services to alleviate short-term challenges facing the County’s Justice Partners.
The Project includes, but is not limited to, improving operational effectiveness utilizing best practices, improving integration and transparency between offices, and utilizing technology and automation to improve overall performance.
• Jail Population Alignment - Provide feedback on key statistics to inform decision making across Justice Partners, research population to provide continuous awareness of environmental factors to drive inmate processing priorities.
• Business Process Analysis and Redesign (Project Apollo) - Improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Fulton County Justice system, reduce dependence on paper processing, improve transparency and accountability, improve handoffs between Justice Partners, drive work through automation.
• Leverage Technology/Odyssey - Manage the process of executing the training plan across all offices, address end-user knowledge gaps resulting from lack of training over the past 7 years, utilize the customized syllabus for each role to support immediate needs and ongoing self-paced training.
Community Impact: This project will improve efficiency of the court system and result in faster court case resolution for Fulton County citizens.
Department Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Project Implications: This project will support short term performance of the justice system (virtual courts, COVID management at the FC Jail, onboarding of newly elected officials) as well as longer-term goals including the reopening of the courts, transformation of Probate Court and continued process improvements from efforts launched in 2020. These efforts will support the achievement of court processing standards for Fulton County courts.
Community Issues/Concerns: The COVID pandemic has closed/slowed many court operations. This project will allow faster/more effective operations to address citizen concerns.
Department Issues/Concerns: It is imperative to move forward to ensure no interruption in court services.
Contract Modification: This is a new procurement.
