Summary & Background All three (3) law enforcement agencies received new vehicles as a part of the County’s Enterprise lease-purchase program. Law enforcement vehicles require several post-delivery upgrades before they can be placed in service.

This Federal General Services Administration (GSA) contract will allow the County to purchase and install emergency vehicle equipment packages on 49 vehicles at a discounted volume-based price.  

 

Scope of Work: To provide and install emergency vehicles equipment packages for 49-total law enforcement vehicles for Fulton County.

The GSA dealer will work in collaboration with the Department Real Estate Asset Management’s Fleet Management Division for coordination and delivery of the emergency upfit equipment for Fulton County Law Enforcement Agencies.

 

Community Impact: Enhanced first responder/public safety agencies by improving safety and functionality modifications of vehicles that allow the County’s law enforcement to fucus on their primary task: helping and protecting people in emergencies.

 

Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval.

 

Project Implications: This action allows recently acquired law enforcement vehicles to be upfitted with the equipment needed to allow County law enforcement officers to complete their job duties. 

 

Community Issues/Concerns: None that the department is aware. 

 

Department Issues/Concerns: If this cooperative purchasing contract is not approved, the County will not have enough law enforcement vehicles in service to fulfill the daily objectives of the Sheriff’s Office, the Police Department, and the Marshalls’ Office.

 

Contract Modification: This is a new request.
