Request approval of Attachment A and B (Scope of Work) to support the BOC approved item 20-0481, Memorandum of Understanding between Fulton County Department of Senior Services and Atlanta Regional Commission to expend funds from the Federal Transportation Administration grant that was awarded to the Department of Senior Services. There is no cost associate with the attachments. The program will run through December 31, 2021 with an option for extension. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

The Attachment A and B (Scope of Work) is an addition to support the memorandum of agreement that establishes our partnership with Atlanta Regional Commission to access Federal Transit Administration (“FTA”) Human Service Coordination Research (“HSCR”) grant funds under the Access and Mobility Partnership Grant program awarded in 2019, wherein ARC serves as a Direct Recipient of the FTA Access and Mobility Partnership grant funds on behalf of Fulton County
Scope of Work: Senior Alternative Transportation Services (ASTS) will provide three primary services to enhance existing transportation options for low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities: 1) training on the use of TNC services, 2) service registration and ride booking assistance, and 3) supplementation of the cost of TNC rider fares and service registration fees.

Department Recommendation: The Department recommends approval
Project Implications: The project allows for the Department of Senior Services to continue to offer Uber/Lyft services to seniors aged 60 and above with Parkinson’s and Visual impairments. The MOU also allows for the Department to collect data and track health outcomes for seniors that are referred for Uber/Lyft services by the Parkinson’s Foundation, The Center for the Visually Impaired and soon, Grady Health Systems.
