Scope of Work: The OPEX Model 72 Rapid Extraction scanners will be used to open all mail and returned absentee ballots.  The extractors can open envelopes, extract contents, and scan everything in one step, on one platform, with little or no prep.

Department Recommendation: The Department of Registration and Elections recommends approval of this agenda item.  Funding will be used from the Center of Tech and Civic Life Grant.

 

Project Implications: The purchase of this equipment will provide efficiencies in process.
