Summary & Background: This request to increase spending authority is being requested to cover the cost to purchase, deliver, and install 74 total bays of additional pallet racking and fencing cages for the Department of Registration and Elections at the Fulton County Central Warehouse located at 5600 Campbellton-Fairburn Road, Atlanta, GA 30213.
All bays are very similar to existing racking, 42” deep with 8’ wide beam levels at 4,000 lbs. capacity per level, and all levels are wire decked with end row being protected by rack guarding. Also included are equipment cages for PPE and IT.

This contract supports County agencies by providing the most functional and cost-effective solution for equipment and related components that will facilitate a multi-functional workplace environment and support all daily functions at the Fulton County Central Warehouse. This request for approval is for the purchase, delivery and installation of 74 total bays of additional pallet-racking, equipment cages, and related components to meet the required daily operational functions of the Department of Registration and Elections.
The estimated delivery lead time upon receipt of Purchase Order is 5-7 weeks.
Community Impact: None of which the Department is aware.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval and will manage the logistics of required deliverables.
Project Implications: This contract intent is to support the selected County agencies by providing the most functional and cost-effective solutions for equipment and related components needed to operate a multi-functional workplace environment at the Fulton County Central Warehouse.
Community Issues/Concerns: None of which the Department is aware.
Department Issues/Concerns: If not approved, the County does not have the capacity to purchase, deliver and install additional pallet-racking and equipment cages and related components that will accommodate and meet the requirements of the Department of Registration and Elections at the Fulton County Central Warehouse.
