Request approval of a recommended proposal - Fulton County Department of Information Technology (FCIT), 19RFP050719B-BR, Fulton County Jail Video System in the amount of $3,222,473.04 with Johnson Controls, Inc. (Roswell, GA) to provide CCTV Products, Services, and Installation. The contract will commence as of the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall continue until the sooner of (a) a period of 24 months; (b) Final Acceptance; or (c) the Agreement is terminated as provided herein.

Scope of Work: The proposed Jail Video System will replace an existing solution and will also address the requirement for placement of additional cameras within and outside of the jail facilities. The enhanced surveillance system benefits include:
• Improved visual coverage - Security cameras can provide continuous coverage of an entire facility.
• Monitor inmate activity - Assist officers to spot suspicious activity, and aid in prevention as necessary.
• Provide visual evidence - Archived surveillance footage resources for investigations.
• Safer transport - Enhancement of level of safety when inmates and others are escorted through the facility.
• Remote video monitoring -Authorized users can access footage remotely and are able to view multiple camera feeds.
Community Impact: Enhanced safety and security for all individuals in the facility and Fulton County residents.
Department Recommendation: FCIT recommends approval of this proposal.
Project Implications: Updated digital surveillance provides superior data storage. Archived digital video footage can be readily available for easy access.
