Summary & Background: Request approval to increase spending authority to cover the costs to support of the Phase II relocation of several identified County agencies to the newly renovated Fulton County Central Warehouse.

 

Scope of Work: The increase spending authority is being requested to cover the costs in support of the Phase II relocation of Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts and IT Records Division to the newly renovated Fulton County Central Warehouse located at 5600 Campbellton-Fairburn Road, Atlanta, GA 30212.

 

The Relocation Costs Breakdown:

 

Project Description

1.

Relocating approximately 40,000 file boxes from 3037 Commerce Way located in Hapeville, GA, for the Clerk of Superior Magistrate Court to the Fulton County Warehouse

$72,000.00

2.

Removal of all Fulton County Department Records from 3037 Commerce Way for the IT Records Division and relocating boxes to the Fulton County Central Warehouse

$150,000.00

3.

Move IT Pallets from 3037 Commerce Way to the Fulton County Warehouse

$2,000.00

4.

Monthly rental of two (2) Scissor Lifts being used for placing boxes on the shelves for the Magistrate Court and IT Records at the Fulton County Central Warehouse

$28,000.00

 

Total Increase Authority Amount

$252,000.00

 

This contract furnishes all materials, parts, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and appurtenances necessary to provide moving services on an “as-needed” basis for Fulton County.

 

The scope of work also includes, but not limited to:

1.                     Provide moving cost and timeline estimate for each moving project upon request.

2.                     Packing, loading, and unloading of shelving, file cabinets, boxes, and related office equipment when required.

3.                     Cleaning up after each phase of the move, this directly related to packing/unpacking.

 

Community Impact: None of which the Department is aware.

 

Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval.

 

The project management is coordinated by the Department of Real Estate and Asset Management.

 

Project Implications: This increase will allow the Phase II relocation moves of several identified County agencies to Fulton County Central Warehouse.

 

Community Issues/Concerns: None of which the Department is aware.

 

Department Issues/Concerns: If this increase spending authority is not approved, there will be a delay in relocation moves of several identified County agencies to the Fulton County Central Warehouse.
