Summary & Background: This request to renew will continue the recruiting services provided by Whalls Group targeting Detention Officers for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to staff Jail facilities.
Scope of Work: Assist County Human Resources and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office with hiring of Detention Officers through recruitment, background investigations, physical ability testing, polygraphs, psychological/medical evaluations, and assistance with implementation.
Community Impact: Targeted hiring of Detention Officers will support compliance with the Fulton County Jail Consent Decree.
Department Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Project Implications: Expedited hiring of Detention Officers.
Community Issues/Concerns: None that the Department is aware of.
Department Issues/Concerns: If this Cooperative Purchasing contract is not approved, the County will be unable to recruit Detention Officers.
