The Change Order Scope of Work includes but not limited to:
Surveying the Interior of the Government Center and Public Safety Building to determine the Digital and Static Signage necessary to present a cohesive and comprehensive Wayfinding Approach which will continue to improve the Customer Experience.

Total Cost $24,622.00
*We are requesting an increase in funds to address a change in scope of Phase 1, for Design and Specifications for the Assembly Hall Area, and the addition of the Public Safety Building to the scope of this Survey.
Note: These designs does not include the cost of any required signage or digital equipment resulting from the survey, or Selbert Perkins’ Fees for Results Implementation, after Selection and Award to any Fabricators, Installers or Allied Services resulting from the study (Electricians, Data, etc.).
These costs will be addressed in any subsequent results from the Study/Survey in a separate Presentation to Management and the Board of Commissioners.
Community Impact: The County will demonstrate that it is sensitive to and hears the Constituents input. Originally, in a survey conducted on site, 80 out of 100 (80%) of first time visitors surveyed felt lost, and had to seek assistance to get where they were supposed to be. Currently, with the exception of the Justice Complex and as a result of our and DCRC’s efforts, our buildings do not comply with ADA signage related requirements, and we have been cited previously by the DOJ.
The need for paper Ad-Hoc and unprofessional signage will be, hopefully, eliminated and we can implement a more standardized visitor friendly approach for all facilities in the future.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval of the Change Order No. 2 to provide changes to the existing Scope of Work for additional services to perform a Wayfinding Static Signage and Services Study Survey on the pedestrian traffic flow of the Government Center and Public Safety Building, as a result of a comprehensive review.
The Design Firm (Selbert Perkins Design) will work in collaboration with the Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, Project Management Team.
Project Implications: Constituents and employees should be able to more efficiently get to and from his/her destination, through a significant improvement in Directional Wayfinding (Signage), which should have a ripple effect in efficiency and customer service.
Community Issues/Concerns: There are no apparent issues or concerns raised by the community.
Department Issues/Concerns: If this change order is not approved, there may be potential disruption in the ability for the County to provide the Wayfinding Design and Signage Services for the Fulton County Government Center and Public Safety Building.
