On September 11, 2020, the Board of Commissioners approved a Resolution to accept the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) CDBG CV-3 award of $1,710,860 (Agenda Item# 21-0373) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic for Fulton County’s low to moderate income citizens.  The CDBG COVID 19 CV-3 funds initially awarded have been exhausted.

 

On April 12, 2023, the Board of Commissioners approved Amendment 1 to provide additional funds in the amount of $76,427 to existing agreements with City of College Park ($110,000) (Agenda Item# 23-0224).  CDBG COVID 19 CV-3 funds assist municipalities to quickly respond to citizens in need of rent, mortgage and or utility assistance.

 

 

 

 

 

Scope of Work: Amend the City of College Park CDBG Program COVID-19 CV 3 contract to extend contract end date from December 31, 2023 to December 31, 2024.  The contract extension will allow College Park additional time to provide financial assistance to citizens in need of rent, mortgage and or utility assistance. 

 

Community Impact: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding will help municipalities sustain and support low to moderate income communities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.   

 

Department Recommendation: Approve the requested action.

 

Project Implications: Approval of the contract amendment will grant additional time for College Park to assist constituents in need of rent, mortgage and or utility assistance.
