(Sandy Springs, GA) in an amount not to exceed $142,992.00 to provide support a range of services related to Opioid Use Disorders (OUD), including Treatment and Recovery. Summary & Background: The Fulton County Regional Advisory Committee is requesting approval of selected agency proposals to receive funding awards from the 2025 Opioid Abatement Settlement funds. The Request for Proposals (RFP) was released 3/26/25 and closed on 4/29/25 with receipt of 12 proposals. Proposals were reviewed and evaluated by 7/21/25 and the applicants scoring 70% or above were selected for funding. Requesting permission to move forward with funding for the top 5 proposals with disbursement of all funding allocated by the Opioid Abatement Settlement Trust from the State of Georgia.
Scope of Work: Under the priority areas of Treatment and Recovery, there should be increased access to recovery support services for individuals with Opioid Use Disorders or OUD. Treatment programs should increase access to treatment services for individuals with Opioid Use Disorders, with a specific focus on Medication Assisted Outpatient Treatment (MAOT) and other evidenced-based practices. This is a one time contract for each vendor to receive their reports and address any issues that may arise.
Community Impact: Reduction in opioid misuse and overdose rates across Fulton County
Department Recommendation: Fund the 5 agency proposals that adequately address the scope of work as evidenced in scoring 70% or higher upon evaluation.
Project Implications: Each agency proposal had to include evidenced base methods for treating individuals with opioid use disorder and recovery plans to increase sobriety.
Community Issues/Concerns: Providing sufficient options for treatment and recovery for individuals impacted by opioid use disorders within Fulton County.
Department Issues/Concerns: Ensuring there are service options available when individuals desire to enter treatment for opioid use disorders to recover.
