Summary & Background: South Fulton Institute Inc. submitted an application for funding through Fulton County Arts & Culture's (“FCAC”) FY2026 Contracts for Services (“CFS”) Program. The organization was subsequently approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners for CFS funding. Following the amended FY2026 CFS award allocation, the organization's final approved award is $27,212. While preparing the organization's contract for execution, FCAC verified the organization's current corporate registration with the Georgia Secretary of State and identified the following name-change history.
In order to be in compliance with Fulton County Government policies and contract agreement terms and conditions, the name change should be approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. There are no changes in the terms and conditions of the CFS contract, and services will continue to be provided at the same level required for the project.
Community Impact: The CFS program seeks to improve the cultural health of individuals, organizations, and communities throughout Fulton County, with special emphasis on youth, seniors, people with disabilities and underserved communities. The CFS program also contributes to the economic vitality of the community, including attracting new businesses and residents to the County.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Arts and Culture recommends approval of this name change request to properly reflect the correct legal name of the recipient in the CFS contract.
Project Implications: The CFS program provides essential funding support to arts, cultural and service organizations in order to expand the arts to all sectors of Fulton County.
