Summary & Background Increase spending authority to cover the cost for installation of a new perimeter chain link fence at the South End Runway 32 located at the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport.
Scope of Work: The Fencing Contractor will furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary to provide and install a new perimeter chain link fence at the South End Runway 32 located at the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport on behalf of the Public Works Department.

This contract furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary to provide standby installation of new fence and replacement of existing fencing for all Fulton County facilities on an “as needed” basis. The fencing types consist of chain link, ornamental iron and steel fencing.
Community Impact: This ensures the security of County properties.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval to increase spending authority to provide and install a new perimeter chain link fence at the South End Runway 32 located at the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport on behalf of the Public Works Department.
The requested increase in the amount of $150,000 will cover costs for the materials and labor hours for the new fencing installation and clearing of trees and brush for the secured South End Runway 32 area in the amount of $138,419; and $11,581 for contingency-owner controlled to cover for any unforeseen additional work that may arise during fencing installation at the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport. There’s not enough spending authority available ($62,326) to secured cost for this project.
The project management will be coordinated by the Department of Real Estate Management and the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport Management of the Public Works Department.

FY2021: The County allocated expenditures as of 10/4/2021, $137,674.00
FY2020: The County spent $210,514.75
FY2019: The County spent $176,992.00
FY2018: The County spent $36,904.00
FY2017: The County spent $49,561.00
Project Implications: This increase in additional spending authority will allow the installation of a new perimeter chain link fence at the South End Runway 32 located at the Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport.
