Pursuant to the County’s Home Rule powers set forth in Article 9, Sec. 2, Par. 1(a) of the Georgia Constitution, “[t]he is governing authority of each county shall have legislation power to adopt clearly reasonable ordinances, resolutions, or regulations relating to its property, affairs, and local government for which no provision has been made by general law and which is not inconsistent with this Constitution or any local law applicable thereto” and Fulton County Code § 1-117 confers upon the Board of Commissioners the exclusive jurisdiction and control over directing and controlling all the property of the county, as they may deem expedient, according to law.

Scope of Work: Greystone Power Corporation has submitted a request to the Fulton County Department of Real Estate and Asset Management (DREAM) to process three (3) Right of Way Easements Agreements for the purpose of expanding and improving their ability to provide electrical services within Fulton County.
Easement access to Fulton County-owned real property is required to repair and or replace the supporting structures, such as poles, towers, and masts that hold the overhead power lines in place. The onsite planned improvements also include the relocating and reinforcement of existing utility service poles to ensure the reliability and safety of the power lines. The easement areas to be conveyed located in Land Lots 48 and 49 of the 9th (9) District of Fulton County, Georgia.
Community Impact: Greystone’s proposed improvements to its electrical grid system are being completed to increase distribution, reliability, and accessibility to electrical services for local residents and new developments.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval of the requested easement agreements on Fulton County-owned real property at 7520 Cochran Road (Parcel 09C120000490106); 0 Cochran Road (Parcel 09C120000490122) and 0 Cochran Road (Parcel 09C120000480198) for the purpose of completing upgrades to the electrical grid system.
Project Implications: Greystone’s planned improvements will allow for the expansion of its power distribution network and enhance the availability of electrical services.
