Request approval to renew existing contracts - Department of Senior Services, 18RFP11228A-FB, Aging Services Contracts in the total amount of $3,918,509.32 with (A) Senior Services North Fulton (Alpharetta, GA) in the amount of $1,465,431.66; (B) South Fulton Senior Services (College Park, GA) in the amount of $1,286,641.68; (C) Visiting Nurses Health Systems (Atlanta, GA) in the amount of $1,166,436.00, to provide Aging Services for Fulton County seniors aged 60 and above. This action exercises the fourth of four renewal options. No renewal options remain. Effective date January 1, 2022 thru December 31, 2022. (APPROVED)

The Department of Senior Services recommends approval to renew the Aging Services contracts. Senior Services is the County based agency designated to provide Older Americans Act services within Fulton County. The Department is responsible for the planning and coordination of aging services facilitated through the Aging Services contractors. These contracts ensure that the services are managed and implemented at the Neighborhood Senior Centers, Home Delivered Meals are provided, Congregate Meals are served, Case Management services are offered and Volunteer Services support the programs.
Scope of Work: The contractors Senior Services North Fulton, South Fulton Senior Services and Visiting Nurses Health Systems are responsible for fulfilling the deliverables under the terms of the contract as indicated in the Scope of Work. These sub-contractors employ staff to ensure that the coordination of Case Management, Congregate Meals, Neighborhood Senior Center Management and Programming, Volunteer Services, Home Delivered Meals and Congregate Meals and Home and Community-Based Services are provided to residents of Fulton County aged 60 and above.
Community Impact: Approval of the contract renewal allows for continued services to seniors of Fulton County.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Senior Services recommends approval.
Project Implications: If this renewal is not approved, eligible Fulton County seniors will not be able to access the Neighborhood Senior Centers, receive congregate meals, home delivered meals and case management services.
Community Issues/Concerns: The community will not be able to access senior services under this contract if not renewed.
Department Issues/Concerns: The Department would not have the capacity to provide these services directly and there would be an interruption of services.
