Request approval of a statewide contract for the Department of Information Technology to utilize Georgia Statewide Contract 99999-SPD-SPD0000060-0002, Software and Ancillary Services in an amount not to exceed $220,000.00 with Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc., for the design, configuration and implementation of the Nasuni File Data Platform that will provide a cloud-native file storage platform that consolidates the County's traditional network-attached storage (NAS). Summary & Background: FCIT recommends this product that will reduce costs by collapsing many technologies into a single platform. Duplicate data set stored on Isilon and in SharePoint will be consolidated with a single source of truth. Third-party backup solutions will not be needed since immutable snapshots are stored in object storage and can be recovered to any point in time.
Nasuni is a cloud-native file storage platform that consolidates the County's traditional network-attached storage (NAS) and file server environment into a single managed service. The platform provides unlimited file storage capacity, continuous backup, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, local edge caching for LAN-speed performance, multi-cloud portability, global file sharing and synchronization across sites, and centralized administration through a single management console.
Use of the existing statewide contract satisfies competitive procurement requirements, eliminates the need for a separate solicitation, and secures pre-negotiated state pricing
Scope of Work: Simplify management by consolidating the various storage, backup, and replication tools into one platform. Improve ransomware recovery with configurations able to provide recovery points every five minutes with unlimited retention.
This is a new system and in accordance with County Purchasing Section §102-386, regarding intellectual property, the County estimates the anticipated useful life of the intellectual property is a minimum of 10 years and the County estimated the anticipated annual cost for maintenance and support agreement(s), service agreement(s) and licensing fee(s) in order to maintain the intellectual property over its useful life is estimated at $220,000 annually beginning in 2027.
