Summary & Background Request to increase spending authorities to cover the costs for additional moving services in support of the upcoming 2024 Presidential Primaries and General Election runoffs for delivering and picking-up voting equipment and related materials to designated Countywide voting precincts for the Department of Registration and Elections.
Scope of Work: Delivering and picking-up voting equipment and related materials to designated Countywide voting precincts for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Primaries and General Election runoffs for the Department of Registration and Elections.
These moving services contracts furnish all materials, parts, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and appurtenances necessary to provide moving services on an “as-needed” basis for Fulton County.
The scope of work to be funded by the increases in spending authority includes, but is not limited to:
1. Provide moving cost and timeline estimate for each moving project upon request.
2. Packing, loading, and unloading of shelving, file cabinets, boxes, and related office equipment when required.
3. Cleaning up after each phase of the move, this is directly related to packing/unpacking.
Community Impact: None of which the Department is aware.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval.
The Department of Registration and Elections will coordinate with the three (3) moving companies for the delivery and pick-up of voting equipment and related materials to each designated Countywide voting precinct.
Project Implications: These increases will allow the Department of Registration and Elections to coordinate with the moving companies for the delivery and pick-up of voting equipment and related materials for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Primaries and General Election runoffs.
Community Issues/Concerns: None of which the Department is aware.
Department Issues/Concerns: If these increases spending authorities are not approved, there will be a delay in the delivery and pick-up of voting equipment and related materials for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Primaries and General Election runoffs to the designated Countywide voting precincts.
