(Atlanta, GA) in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00; (D) Stantec Consulting Services (Lexington, KY) in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00; (E) Jacobs Engineering (Atlanta, GA) in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00; and, (F) Benchmark Management (Atlanta, GA) in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00, to provide standby engineering services. This action exercises the second of two renewal options. No renewal options remain. Effective dates: August 2, 2023 through July 31, 2024. (APPROVED)

Scope of Work: These current standby engineering firms provide planning and design services and technical assistance for the water and wastewater systems throughout North and South Fulton County. These contracts are utilized by the Public Works Department for small design projects to supplement County staff efforts. The technical services include preparation of reports, technical memoranda, studies, plans, drawings, and specifications for construction and improvements to Fulton County’s water distribution system and wastewater collection system. Projects are expected to range from improvements to water and wastewater pipelines, pumping stations, water reclamation facilities, preparing studies and providing engineering and project management assistance to County staff as needed.
Community Impact: No noticeable impact is expected to the community from utilizing standby consultants during the engineering design process.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Public Works requests approval of the renewal of the Standby Engineering Services contracts.
Project Implications: Water and Wastewater design for improvements or repairs can be made more expeditiously using the standby contracts.
Community Issues/Concerns: No issues/concerns have been raised by constituents or clients concerning this agenda item.
Department Issues/Concerns: The Department of Public Works desires to be able to respond expeditiously to needed design support for water and wastewater infrastructure
