Request approval to extend an existing contract - Fulton County Animal Services, 23RFP052223C-MH, in an amount not to exceed $4,540,000.00 with Lifeline Animal Project, Inc (Avondale Estates, GA) to provide animal control services (shelter operations as well as field services) that will include all personnel, supplies, utilities, necessary insurances, and equipment for the unincorporated areas of Fulton County as well as the cities of Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton and Union City for an additional 6 month period. Effective dates: January 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025. (APPROVED)

Scope of Work: The scope of work provides animal and rabies control services to include all personnel, supplies, utilities, and equipment for the unincorporated areas of Fulton County as well as the cities of Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton and Union City. The cost of this contract will be ultimately shared with the 15 municipalities that we serve, as well as unincorporated Fulton County. This request to extend the contract is necessary so that contract renewal negotiations can be completed. The continuation of the contract is critical so that the services are not impacted.
Community Impact: The approval of this extension is necessary to continue critical Animal Services for the citizens of Fulton County.
