Summary & Background: Department of Registration and Elections recommends approval of statewide contract to provide temporary staffing services for the November Municipal and December Runoff Elections
Scope of Work: The statewide contract will provide supplemental staffing services to prepare and conduct the above-mentioned scheduled elections.
Community Impact: There will be a negative effect on the community, if the voter registration and elections’ process is not handled efficiently due to shortage of staff for all areas needed to conduct a countywide election.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Registration and Elections recommends approval.
Project Implications: The approval of statewide contract to provide temporary staffing services will ensure the Department to follow state election laws.
Community Issues/Concerns: Early Voting and Election Day poll locations may not be properly staffed.
Department Issues/Concerns: Supplemental staff will assist with preparation and conduct of all elections. If the statewide contract is not approved, the Department may not be able to meet state mandated deadlines.
