Summary & Background
Candid is a service that is currently purchased and used by the Fulton County Library System in the Central Library. This product allows an individual to research foundations and other non-profit entities. This is one of the library’s most popular non-profit resources. Using Candid grants a person the ability to find ebooks and audiobooks on topics such as collaborations, boards and funding raising. Individuals can learn every aspect of fundraising using this tool. This MOU will allow the program to expand to the Roswell area.
Scope of Work: The Fulton County Library System will ensure that the FIN basic program package is installed so it is preliminarily available from computer banks at the Arthur William Smith Library at Roswell, with the potential to move the program to the East Roswell branch subject to usage and continued funding from the City and/or additional partners. Library staff will work together with staff from the City of Roswell Grants Division to make the program available to the community for a period of at least one year, including individuals seeking scholarships or fellowships, fundraising professionals or nonprofits seeking grants opportunities. Staff will also connect with dedicated Candid staff to help reach the local nonprofit community, building capacity and amplifying offerings through marketing support. The City of Roswell Grants Division (RGD) will reimburse the County for the purchase of the FIN basic program package from Candid for use by the local community for a period of at least one year, including individuals seeking scholarships or fellowships and fundraising professionals or nonprofits seeking grants. Staff will help organize and attend complimentary staff trainings as provided by Candid in order to become familiar with FIN tools and/or recent updates. RGD staff will connect with dedicated Candid staff to help reach the local nonprofit community, building capacity and amplifying offerings through marketing support. Additional partnership responsibilities are listed in the attached MOU.
Community Impact: The City of Roswell and patrons of the Fulton County Library System will have access to a very popular and resourceful tool.
