Summary & Background Approval of task order to provide workspace reimagined services model design plan for post COVID-19 environment.
Scope of Work: The purpose of these phases is to mobilize the projects, initiate the data gathering processes and set the overall direction for the workspace reimagined service model design plan projects for both Fulton County Government Center and the Judicial Center Complexes. This includes new “Strategic Model” based on COVID-19. The Strategic Model will be used as a framework to develop detailed future space requirements, which serve as the basis for stacking.
The Scope of Work includes, but not limited to:

Project Fee for Judicial Center Space Utilization: $312,100.00 (includes $15,500 for additional services)
Background: Fulton County has directed DREAM, through Sizemore Group, a Standby Architectural and Engineering Design Firm to provide professional services focused on space utilization needs assessments and “re-stacking” strategy plan for Fulton County Government Center and Judicial Center Complexes. Through the end of 2019, the Space Programing and Re-Stacking of the Government had produced a Re-Stack Plan, and the impact of COVID-19 Pandemic stopped all non-essential government activities. Now, we adjusting operations to address the short/long term, and institutions are moving from reacting to COVID-19 to a position of assessing its strategic impact.
This contract provides all necessary standby professional services for facilities related planning, design, engineering and assessments - architecture & engineering services program on a “task order” basis to implement the following: engineering studies; consultative, advisory, investigative and pre-design services; pre-design and pre-construction activities; partnering; project management services; detailed design services; contract administration and general review during construction; construction management services; and additional services that may be requested by the County.
Community Impact: The County's citizens would experience impacts of the County future and long-term space and service needs of the constituents and employees of Fulton County.
Department Recommendation: The Department of Real Estate and Asset Management recommends approval of task order to provide workspace reimagined services model design for new post COVID-19 environment in the Fulton County Government Center and Judicial Center Complexes.
Historical Expenditures:
• FY2020: The County spent $259,975.98
• FY2019: The County spent $311,121.66
• FY2018: The County spent $533,110.40
Project Implications: Task Order will allow Sizemore Group to provide the workspace reimagined service model design projects for both Fulton County Government Center and the Judicial Center Complexes. This includes new “Strategic Model” based on COVID-19.
Community Issues/Concerns: None that the Department is aware of.
