Scope of Work:

As the Department of Human Resources Management continues to push forward with its enhanced Human Resource Management agenda, with a focus on ensuring the County has a well-trained and engaged workforce, the Certified Public Managers Program continues to be an opportunity to reskill our executives and managers to efficiently and effectively address the strategic areas developed by the Board of Commissioners.

The Certified Public Management Program, offered by the University of Georgia -- under the umbrella of the National CPM Consortium, is designed to improve the quality and efficiency of government agencies by developing the effectiveness and professionalism of its managers.

Since being introduced to the County, the CPM Program has successfully advanced 233 County employees through the curriculum.

This is an intensive, multi-part program, where executives and managers will learn about themselves, their organization and how to lead and manage effectively and will be the cornerstone of the County's Executive Leadership Development Program and ensure that we have an engaged workforce, one which is focused on delivering excellent customer service.
