Request approval to utilize cooperative purchasing through the Department of Information Technology (FCIT) statewide contract (SWC 99999-SPDNVPUT-3229-0001) with Presidio Networked Solutions (Norcross, GA) to upgrade and replace internal-facing firewall networking equipment, including associated professional services, for a total cost of $1,775,296.86, inclusive of $1,247,594.04 for Palo Alto equipment and optimization services, and $527,294.74 for Palo Alto extended expertise services (staff augmentation) required following completion of the optimization phase. Effective upon BOC approval.

Summary & Background: This contract will provide Firewalls & Intrusion Prevention System Upgrade and replace firewalls and intrusion prevention systems and implement next-generation firewalls to provide segmentation across the network segments and mitigate cyber-risk. Utilize professional services to assist in the planning, configuration and installation of the firewalls and subscriptions. Community Impact: Mitigate risk by greatly improving the county’s cybersecurity enforcement, posture and policy which provides a greater level of protection for constituents and the county’s data.
Scope of Work: The use of this contract will provide for the procurement of, installation and support of current Next Generation Firewall devices under the existing cooperative purchasing contract. The use of the cooperative purchasing contract allows Fulton County to receive all requested hardware from a value-added partner at prices that are reduced and within an expedited timeframe.
