Summary & Background
The Director of Emergency Management, as well as the County Manager’s Office, requests approval for a contract extension to provide animal and rabies control services to include all personnel, supplies, utilities, and equipment for an additional 12 month period.
Scope of Work: This project consists of providing animal control and care services for unincorporated Fulton County, as well as the cities of Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton, and Union City. Services include all personnel, supplies, utilities, equipment, and rabies control.
This contract extension is necessary to continue the critical services of Animal Services while our new animal shelter is constructed. This extension will also provide the County the opportunity to develop a clear understanding regarding the potential scope of work that will be used to generate a new request for proposal based on the needs for our future state of the art facility.
