Summary & Background: Approval to accept a name change and authorizing the Department of Purchasing & Contract Compliance to reflect the name change from Shelters to Shutters Inc. to Entryway Inc.
Scope of Work: In order to be in compliance with the Fulton County Government policies and contract agreement terms and conditions, the name change has to be approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. There are no changes in terms and conditions, and services will continue to be provided at the same level required for the project.
According to the Georgia Secretary of State, Shelters to Shutters, Inc. has amended its application to transact business in this state by the filing of an amendment changing its name to Entryway Incorporated.
Community Impact: CSP funding will support the delivery of essential community services to Fulton County residents countywide in the areas of: Children and Youth Services; Disabilities; Economic Stability/Poverty; Health and Wellness; Homelessness; and Senior Services.
Department Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Project Implications: Shelter to Shutters was approved as a part of the 2023 Community Services Program recommendations on May 17, 2023 (Agenda item#23-0350). Reflect the name change to Entryway Inc. on the existing contract and delivery orders going forward.
Community Issues/Concerns: The Department of Community Development is not aware of any community issues/concerns regarding the agenda item.
Department Issues/Concerns: If this name change is not approved, the Department will not be able to process invoices for payment going forward.
