Request approval of a public art contract to commission Rory Hawkins to create a site-specific mural at the newly constructed Animal Services Facility in the amount of $25,000.00 and authorization of the County Attorney to approve the public art contract as to form and to make necessary changes to the contract to protect the County prior to execution. The term is upon BOC approval through February 29, 2024. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

In accordance with Fulton County Purchasing Code, sections 1-117 and State of Georgia O.C.G.A ? 36-10-1, requests for approval of contractual agreements shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval. This public art contract will serve to commission this artist in accordance with the Art in Public Places Resolution adopted by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners in April 1993. Pursuant to the Art in Public Places Resolution, artists are to be commissioned to create public artworks in Fulton County facilities with funding provided through one percent of the construction budget.
