Under the provision of the Georgia Election Code, Section 21-2-45(c)(2), City may, by ordinance, authorize the County to conduct such election.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND: Registration and Elections recommend approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Fulton County, Registration & Elections with and City of Atlanta for the purpose of conducting an election related to the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST). This action authorizes the Department to administer and manage all election-related services required for placing the ESPLOST measure on the ballot.
Scope of Work: The Department will provide all services necessary to conduct the ESPLOST election. This includes voter registration management, ballot preparation, early voting administration, Election Day operations, tabulation of votes, certification of results, and all required reporting. The Department will also ensure compliance with all applicable state and local election laws.
