SUMMARY & BACKGROUND
On August 19, 2020, the Board of Commissioners approved a Resolution to accept the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) CDBG CV-1 award in the amount of $1,098,603 (Agenda Item# 20-0577). The grant funds were authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136. The CDBG COVID-19 CV-1 funds are to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) for Fulton County's low to moderate-income citizens.
The Board of Commissioners approved an award to the City of Palmetto, in the amount of $120,000 (Agenda Item#20-0577) to purchase a LUCAS Device for fire fighters, and covid test kits for low to moderate income citizens.
