Title: Request approval of a MOU - Department of Health and Wellness in the amount of $149,351.69 to make HIV testing a routine part of medical care within the Fulton and DeKalb county jails. HIV Emory, through its HIV screening program/center for the health of incarcerated person, (hereafter “Jail Testing Initiative”). The “Jail Testing Initiative” will use its best efforts to link HIV positive patients to the care and treatment they need. As appropriate, HIV positive individuals who are referred by Emory to FCDHW will have access to quality HIV care through the Ryan White Programs, Partner Services and Sexually Transmitted Infection (“STI”) treatment. Effective Upon BOC approval. For the period of January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. The MOU is 100% grant funded. No county funding is required. (HELD)
