Summary & Background (First sentence includes Agency recommendation. Provide an executive summary of the action that gives an overview of the relevant details for the item.)

Based on population growth from the 2020 Census, the Board of Commissioners is requested to approve an updated district map for submission to the Fulton County Delegation and the Georgia General Assembly.  This map reflects input from the Board of Commissioners and has been provided to the Georgia Reapportionment Office for technical review.  Approval is needed at the January 19, 2022 Board of Commissioners meeting to meet the timeline for redistricting as directed by the Georgia Secretary of State and qualifying for 2022 elections.  The map will not be effective until the legislation is approved by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor.
