Request approval to enter into an MOU with the Fulton County Library System and Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA) to memorialize their mutual understanding of their collaboration of the Class Pass Project. A Class Pass card allows the students at the Georgia Cyber Academy the ability to have their student ID aligned with a library card so they can check out items and use the Library's online services. This agreement is effective upon its execution date of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 with a 1-year renewal option. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND Approval of this item allows the Library System to provide a learning environment where students are empowered to reach their full academic potential through active participation in live interactive classes and an engaging curriculum that supports individualized and differentiated student learning paths.
Scope of Work: GCA and Fulton County, Georgia, have chosen to collaborate on a comprehensive project called CLASS PASS for "Connecting Libraries and Schools for Success", the purpose of which is to provide library services to students, to reduce barriers to access to library resources in order to increase literacy and educational success.
Community Impact: Fulton County students will lose the ability to access databases and materials that are pertinent for research and education.
