Request approval of an award without competition - Emergency Services, Upgrade, Maintenance and Support of the ASTRO P25 Digital Radio System with Motorola Solutions, Inc. (Lawrenceville, GA), in an amount not to exceed $15,596,448.00 for an eight (8) year period, to provide ongoing maintenance and support of the Countywide Digital Radio System. Effective October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2034. (APPROVED)

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND: On June 19, 2013 (Item #13-0479), The Board of Commissioners approved 13RFP88502C-DR, APCO P25 Phase 2 TOMA Simulcast Trunked Radio System.
This request is to upgrade the existing ASTRO P25 Digital Radio System maintenance. The system will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and Motorola Solutions will provide radio system maintenance and repairs to the Countywide Digital Radio System infrastructure. The system serves more than 29,566 users throughout Fulton County, including Fulton County Police, Fulton County Sheriff's Office, Fulton County Marshal's Department, Fulton County District Attorney Office, Fulton County Solicitor General, Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, Fulton County Emergency Management Agency, Fulton County Public Works, Fulton County Board of Education, Fulton County Animal Services, Grady Emergency Medical Services, American Medical Response Ambulance,...
