Request approval to extend an existing contract - Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, Task Order No. 2 for the Fulton County Government Behavioral Health Crisis Center, at no additional cost for extension of "time only" with Sizemore Group, LLC (Atlanta, GA), the Architect for Record, to continue without disruption providing architectural, engineering and construction administration services for the Behavioral Health Crisis Center currently under construction. Effective upon BOC approval through the completion of the project as determined by the County. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-420, contract modifications within the scope of the contract and necessary for contract completion of the contract, in the specifications, services, time of performance or terms and conditions of the contract shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND: This request of a contract extension for "time only" is required in order for the Architect of Record to continue to provide architectural and contract administrative services for the Behavioral Health Crisis Center through the construction and warranty phases until the completion of construction project as determined by the County.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 43-15-22, the County is limited to using the original architectural firm to update drawings and stamp the construction drawings.
