Request approval of an Agreement for Cooperative Technical Assistance and Intergovernmental Cost Sharing among the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the City of Atlanta, the Atlanta Fulton County Water Resources Commission (AFCWRC) (which Fulton County is a 50% member), Bartow County, the City of Cartersville, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, DeKalb County, Forsyth County, City of Gainesville, and Gwinnett County, with Fulton County funding this contract in the amount of $75,000.00 annually as a 50% joint venture partner in the AFCWRC, effective between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2027. REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION (Cite specific Board policy, statute or code requirement)
In accordance with Fulton County Purchasing Code Section 1-117 and O.C.G.A. Section 36-10-1, requests for approval of contractual agreements shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval. Pursuant to GA CONST Art. 9, ? 3, ? I the County may contract for any period not exceeding 50 years with any other public agency, public corporation, or public authority for joint services, for the provision of services, or for the joint or separate use of facilities or equipment. See, also Fulton County Code Sections 102-671 to 102-696 relating to the creation and operation of the Atlanta-Fulton County Water Resources Commission.
