The Fulton County Library System has a naming policy in place to honor those individuals who make a significant contribution to the Atlanta-Fulton Library System or community. A five-person committee convened to nominate a suitable candidate. The nomination is brought before the Library Board of Trustees and then the Board of Commissioners. The naming policy is attached. There are several prominent "friends of the library" who support this effort. The names are listed as follows: Sheila Cayolle, Pam Crawford, Gerrie Fornek, Susan Fornek, Ginger Hackett, Connie Hayes, Jade Kurtz, Angela Lam, Charna McCurry, Helen McHugh, Megan McHugh, Kathy Peters, Kay Sins, Ben and Linda Statham, Betty Williams. There is additional support from patrons of the Alpharetta community as well Fulton library staff.
