Request approval to amend an existing contract - Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, City of Atlanta FC-9696, Solar Energy Program with Cherry Street Investment Holdings, LLC dba Cherry Street Energy, LLC (Solar Financing Agent) by incorporating 46 additional Fulton County facilities into the existing Fulton County Solar Program agreement. There is a change from $.07/kWh to$.11/kWh for the new facilities. Effective upon BOC approval. (APPROVED)

In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-420, contract modifications within the scope of the contract and necessary for contract completion of the contract, in the specifications, services, time of performance or terms and conditions of the contract shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND This proposed amendment to the existing Solar Energy Program contract will enable Cherry Street Investment Holding, LLC, (Solar Financing Agent) to provide solar panels to 46 additional county-owned facilities at no cost to the County to the existing Solar Panel agreement.
Cherry Street Investment Holdings, LLC owns and operates the panels, and the county pays a fee for the electricity that is less than what the County pays Georgia Power. Additionally, this amendment includes the specific cost of electricity provided by the battery storage units at the Metropolitan library resilience hub.
